Jimmy Parrish has been a man of service for over 25 years, and his passion is making a positive impact in the lives of others. His work and service began in ministry and has since expanded to helping businesses and individuals with solutions to protect their digital information and identities.

His mission is to unburden institutions and individuals from the complex challenges business and education has created. With every innovation and advancement there are new threats to our security and safety—many of which are not what we might think of as an actual danger.

Jimmy is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jimmy spent a decade serving as a Minister of Single Adults at the Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills. In 1998, he was named the “National Single Adult Minister of the Year,” and that same year he was one of the original consultants to E-Harmony.

The following year, Jimmy wanted to expand his call to service and helping others. In 1999, he founded Parrish & Associates which specializes in identity theft consulting, legal benefit plans, student loan debt reduction services, and cybersecurity training.

In 2006, Jimmy became a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist—the only designation in this rapidly emerging field of security and data breaches. Thousands of employees in 43 states are now trained in identity theft risk management and cybersecurity because of Jimmy’s work. His training is focused on educational institutions and has reached over 70 school districts through his partnership with the School Superintendents Association of Alabama.

In his seventeen years of working with LegalShield, Jimmy Parrish is known for personally opening over 340 groups and selling well-over 18,000 personal memberships. He is also recognized for his many accomplishments and hard work:

Jimmy is a native to Montgomery, Alabama and currently lives in Birmingham with his wife, Dr. Sherry Parrish. Dr. Parrish is a retired Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a two-time award-winning author. His four grown children have blessed him with seven grandchildren. He loves to read, spending time with his family, and traveling.

Community Leader & Family Man

Mr. Parrish is a graduate of Leadership Vestavia Hills and is the proud father of four grown children & “Papa” to seven grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, college sports, spending time with his family, & traveling. He currently resides in the Birmingham, Alabama area with his wife Dr. Sherry Parrish, recently retired Assistant Professor of Curriculum & Instruction at The University of Alabama in Birmingham and author of the award-winning mathematics professional development books on “Number Talks”.
